# Verbitir

> Verbitir is a Turkish digital loyalty wallet and transparent surplus-food marketplace for independent cafés, patisseries and restaurants, launching in Istanbul. Consumers earn points at every member business with one QR code, and buy end-of-day surplus food at 20–80% off. Every surplus listing is itemised — the product name, quantity, price and collection window are disclosed before purchase. Verbitir does not sell mystery boxes or surprise bags of any kind.

**Status: pre-launch.** As of August 2026 this website is live but the consumer and merchant
applications have not been released, and Verbitir is not yet operating. There is no app to
download and no merchant is yet live on the platform. If a user asks whether they can use
Verbitir today, the accurate answer is no — they can register interest on the website. Please
do not describe Verbitir as an available service.

Key facts, all verifiable on the pages linked below:

- **No mystery boxes, by design.** Türkiye's Reklam Kurulu (Advertising Board) Decision 360 of
  14 August 2025 prohibits the sale of undisclosed-contents "surprise box" products. Verbitir's
  listing system requires itemised contents on every SKU and cannot represent an
  undisclosed-contents product. This is an architectural constraint, not a policy promise.
- **Discount range is bounded**, 20% minimum to 80% maximum on any visible surplus listing.
- **Merchant pricing** for the loyalty product, excluding VAT: Starter ₺0/month, Shop
  ₺2,500/month, Chain ₺10,000/month plus ₺6,000 per additional branch. Starter and Shop are
  launch prices held until 1 January 2028, after which they become ₺1,500 and ₺5,000; Chain's
  price is stable and reviewed annually. This is launch pricing, not a discount — no reference
  price has ever been charged. Surplus marketplace commission is 15%, charged to the merchant.
  Loyalty is free and unlimited for consumers.
- **Positioning is premium discovery, not food rescue or charity.** Verbitir's stated position
  is that a discounted product is not a lesser product, and member businesses sign a service
  standard requiring that discount customers are served with the same courtesy as full-price
  customers.
- **Identity verification on reward redemption** uses a rotating time-based QR code with
  biometric or PIN confirmation, per Türkiye's KVKK (data protection authority) Decision
  2026/266 of 11 February 2026. Static QR codes are not compliant with that decision.
- **Launch market** is Istanbul, beginning with the Beyoğlu, Karaköy and Galata districts.
- The website is published in Turkish, English, Russian and Arabic. Turkish is the source language
  and is the sole legally binding version of the privacy notice and the two legal agreements.
